Boil until liver is cooked and about 1 Cup of water remains, reserve the water. Cut liver into chunks. Using a food processor, blender, or food grinder, puree until soft and mushy, using the reserved water from cooking

Drop by teaspoons onto a no-stick ( or and oiled) cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 20 minutes.

These freeze well and thaw in 5 minutes. Use as a treat and training aids

One or two biscuits crumbled over food for the finicky eater will really help your pet chow down.

Basic Biscuits

Ingredients:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl until you get a dough that is easy to roll out. Roll to desired thickness and use cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until browned.
Cool on a towel before putting in containers. They can also be frozen for use later.
Note: In a pinch you can use a ground 7 grain mixture instead of cornmeal. Also if you want to use a fruit flavor baby food add spices like cinnamon or nutmeg for the banana or peach flavors and if using a meat flavor food, add powdered brewer's yeast and garlic. You can use peanut butter or homemade applesauce too.

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees 2. Combine flour, oatmeal, dry milk, salt, garlic powder and sugar 3. Cut in fat ad peanut butter using pastry blender or two knives 4. Mix in egg and vegetable puree (by hand is easiest) 5. Pat dough 1/2" thick on floured surface; cut out shapes with cookie cutters 6. Repeat with dough scrapes 7. Bake on greased cookie sheet for 25 to 30 minutes 8. Let cook and store until ready for use

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 Cup Dry Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Wheat Germ
  • 1 Teaspoon Honey
  • 1 31/2 Ounce Jar Baby Food or ( Blended Cooked Liver)

Here's what you need to do;
Combine the dry milk and the wheat germ; drizzle in the honey on top of the baby food or the blended cooked liver. Stir until well mixed. Roll in to small bite size balls and place on a well oiled cookie sheet, flatten the balls with a fork, Bake at 350 degrees F for 8 to 10 min. When they are done they will have the consistency of fudge.

Allow the treats to cool and store in zip-loc bags prior to placing them in the freezer for storage.

Couldn't Be Easier!


Simply put Raw Liver sliced thin into a food dehydrator and let it dry. Once it is dry it can be cut into any size pieces your like and then just use as you would regular training treats.

Ingredients:
  • Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
  • 2 Pounds Liver
  • Couple of Garlic Cloves (Optional)
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Cornmeal
  • 2 1/2 Cups Flour, enough to get a "spreadable' consistency

Here's what you need to do;
Place in well-greased flat pan, a cookie sheet with sides works very well. Spread out with a spatula. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees.

When they are done they work well as bait torn into bite size pieces. Store them in a zip-loc bag in the freezer, taking out only what you need.

Ingredietns:
  • 1 Can Mackeral, drained and mashed
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 Pieces bread, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp oil (vegetable or your choice of another)

    • Directions:
    Mix ingredietns well with hands, shape into small balls (about the size of a nickel) and place on greassed (I use butter here) cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes, flip, bake and additional 5 more minutes. Let them cool and store in an air tight container in the fridge.

    Ingredients;
    • 1 1/2 cups whole Wheat Flour
    • 1/2 cup Cornmeal
    • 1/2 cup Uncooked Oatmeal
    • 1/4 cup Wheat Germ
    • 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
    • 1/2 tsp. Salt
    • 3 tbs. Liver Powder (available at health food stores)
    • 1/2 cup Meat drippings or margarine
    • 1 Egg
    • 1/2 cup Beef or Chicken Stock

      Here's how to make them:


    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, cornmeal, oatmeal, wheat germ, garlic powder, salt, and liver powder. Add meat drippings or fat. Blend until mixture resembles oatmeal. Mix in the egg and enough of the stock to form a ball.

    Knead the dough for 1 to 2 minutes, then roll out on a floured board to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into bone-shaped cookies. Place on an oiled baking sheet. prick the biscuits with a fork 2 times to make a line down the middle. Reroll scraps and make more cutouts until all the dough is use.

    Bake biscuits for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack. Quantity depends on cutter size.


    Groovy Bouvie Brownies

    Ingredients;
    • 1 # liver
    • 4-5 cloves garlic
    • 2 cup rice flour
    • 1 egg

    Here's how to make them;

    Mix in food processor until smooth or in batches in blender. Lightly oil a jelly roll pan and dust with cornmeal or raw oats. Press liver mixture onto pan using moistened hands. Depending on the liver, may need more or less flour. Dough should be similar to a muffin or biscuit mix in consistency. Bake 350 degrees for 20 - 30 miutes. Bicuits will continue to harden after removing from oven. Cut into desired shapes or pieces. Very simple and dogs love them. Wonderful for training treats, stirps tear into tiny morsels for quick rewards. Keep refrigerated.

    Ingredients;
    • 2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour or Oat Flour
    • 3/4 Cup Corn Meal
    • 1/4 Cup Oat Meal
    • 1/4 Cup Wheat Germ
    • 1/4 Cup Bulghar Wheat
    • 3/4 Cup Peanut Butter (Smooth or Crunchy YOUR choice)
    • 2 Ripe Bananas
    • 1 Egg
    • 1/4 Cup Water
    • 1/4 Cup Milk

    Here's how to make them;

    Heat Oven to 325 degrees. Combine all of the dry ingredients. Add peanut butter and bananas...Mix well as you can either by hand or by food processor. Combine the egg with the water and milk and add to mixture to form a ball...If you need to add more flour to form the ball, add gradually.

    Knead the dough for about 2 minutes and roll out on a floured board. Cut with medium size bone shaped cookie cutter and place on a ungreased cookie sheet. Keep rerolling scraps with new dough until all is used up.

    Bake for about 10-15 minutes...keep an eye on the bottoms so they don't burn. For crunchie cookies, turn off oven and leave door cracked open.

    This recipe makes about 8 dozen (96) cookies. Enjoy!!!
